The Best Online Ad Placements (Infographic)

the best online ad placements infographic
If you are a webmaster or blogger that monetized your website/blog through ads placement, I am pretty sure that you are aware of the banner-fatigue syndrome that "plagued" the online space at the moment. In short, not many people will view or click on your banner ads anymore. Basing on the latest survey, the average click-through-rate (CTR) of the banner ad is less than 0.5%.

One of the new kid on the block that offer native advertising services (for both advertisers and publishers), ContentClick has recently done a survey and produced an infographic on the best online ad placement. Even though it is more relevant to the UK audience but I am of the view that this is a general sentiment across the board.

Search Engine Optimization Clue (Infographic)

search engine optimization, SEO
To put it simply, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is one of the most important knowledge/skills that all internet marketers should be aware of. Having said that, since time is money (correct in both online and offline space), many internet marketers would preferred outsource their SEO needs to specialists.

This is especially true since global search is still on the upwards trend even with the "invasion" of social networking sites (like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest etc..) and there is no sign of slowing down. Thus, if you do not want to spend too much time and money on the paid search result, do spend sometime on the on-page and off-page SEO (of your site/blog) either by yourself or through SEO service provider. One of such prominent play is MOZ.

Can You Imagine If There Is No Blog From Tomorrow Onwards? (Infographic)

Blog was been here for since 1997 and it will continue to be in existence in the foreseeable future. In fact, some of the authoritative blogs (like Mashable, TechCrunch etc.) have over-shadowed the mainstream media for many years.

So, can you imagine one day if all the blogs gone holidays and MIA (Missing-In-Action)? I can't either.

In fact, there is a whole Blogconomy currently brewing "silently" in the online space and many of the professional bloggers are living out of it, comfortably. Recently, Ignite Spot produced a brilliant infographic that will answer all your doubts and queries about Blogconomy.

Why Is SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Still Important? (Infographic)

search engine optimization
For those who tell you that internet marketing has switched its gear from SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to Social Media. The truth is, it is far from truth. In fact, both SEO and Social Media can complement each other to create a more powerful online presence.

To quote you two examples:

1. Do you know that the big G in the search engine (I am sure you know who) is receiving more than 1 billion searches each day?

2. There are about 36% of the small businesses paying for the publishing and analytics tools to enhance their SEO?

With the launch of its own Social Networking site, Google+, Google has integrated the Google Search with it seamlessly and doing pretty well in terms of consolidating results the with more social proof.  In fact, the other big player in Search Engines, Yahoo! is doing so too with the integration with Facebook and their site has gone much more than search alone!

Thus, it is not a zero-sum game, both SEO and Social Media still have an important role to play in the online space.

Content Marketing Is Here To Stay (Infographic)

content marketing
Most gurus will tell you this: "Content Is King" as for as internet marketing is concern and personally I am 100% agreeable with to it. Also, it will be forever true as long as we continue to consume media through the online channel especially internet.

Of course, what would probably evolved is the format of the content as well as how we consume them. For example, with the ever increasing world-wide adoption of smartphone/tablets, more content will be customised to fit into the mobile devices like there (in the form of phone apps) for a better user experience.

Thus, content marketing is here to stay. Having said that, for content marketing to work well, we need to ensure that the content is valuable, up-to-date and relevant to the targeted audience. As illustrated by the following infographic, content marketing starts with sufficient research followed by identification of the appropriate formats and finally choose the proper channels to release/promote them.

Let's Go Back To Basic Of Blogging [Infographic]

blogging, blogToday I am feeling a bit nostalgic and thus like to share a bit of the history of BLOG. Of course, I will not dwell with too much historical details here but just wanted to share the answers to the following two basic questions:

1. When was the term BLOG being coined and by who?

2. How is the term BLOG formed?

First, the one that responsible for the term Blog is Jorn Barger. In December 1997, he first coined the term Weblog and the term Blog was derived from the combination of these 2 words (Web + Log), which is the answer to question number 2.

Courtesy of Blogskinny, they have generated a simple yet meaningful Infographic about the history of Blogging which answer the similar questions.

Now, enjoy the Infographic below:

Are you a blogger? If not, you may want to jump into the bandwagon as it is fun and profitable (to some) to be a blogger. ;-)

There Is No Success Without Failure (Infographic)

steven spielbergIn life, we are facing with constant challenges (big and small), at times we get through it with flying colour but at other times, we faced with failures. Same thing applies to online venture like Internet Marketing.

Just like the title said it all, there is no success without failure! The good news is, for online venture, it allows us to fail fast and cheaply (at least as compared to brick and mortar venture). Thus, the question is not how many times we failed, but how many times we get back up and try a new ones, until we success.

175 million online shoppers by 2016 [Infographic]

online shoppersInternet Marketing is nothing new but it will be increasingly becoming more mainstream. The key reason is the eCommerce sites are springing up everywhere, from giant authority sites like Amazon, Rakuten to the smaller sites in the form of blog shops.

Actually, there is no surprise at all for the eCommerce boom, with the increased online security, ease of international payment method (e.g. Paypal) and mobile channels (i.e. mobile devices like mobile phots, tablets etc.), the only way is up for the eCommerce (especially the digital goods). With the booming eCommerce, internet marketing (in the forms of inbound marketing, social media marketing or pure online advertising etc...) is proportionately on the upwards trend too.

As per Arrow Payments, the US online shoppers alone is expected to grow from 137 millions (in 2010) to 175 millions (in 2016), which is more than 25% increase! So are you on the bandwagon yet?
